I really hate talking about myself. I prefer to allow my art to speak for me. However, I realize that knowing the person behind the business is important. I personally feel very loyal to businesses when I really know the owner.
So this is me!
In one sentence...
I’m a hippie Jipsi Artist, a Carb-loving Pescatarian, Milo’s Gigi and a Nomadic Minimalist.
My husband, Joe, and I will be celebrating our 29th anniversary this summer. We have 2 beautiful daughters and they have awesome husbands!
For the last 5 or 6 months, Joe and I put our secular businesses on pause and participated in volunteer construction and disaster relief.
We’re now back in the Charleston area and reestablishing our businesses. Joe is a licensed home builder and I’m a professional artist and muralist.
That was a brief description of me. Now I’ll tell you a little bit about my art company and what makes my work different from others.
I enjoy any challenge that requires creativity and artistic skills. I’m very passionate about what I do. I’ve been designing and painting custom murals and art for about 30 yrs. I love specializing in children’s murals, but any style from realism to quirky is in my wheelhouse.
I’m also very aware of chemical sensitivities and being environmentally safe. I choose to use products that fall into that category. I’ve even had the opportunity to work with environmentalists on certain projects for that very reason.
Creating custom artwork allows me to translate my clients vision to a canvas or a wall and that’s exciting! It’s the people who inspire me. Several years ago, a client handed me a mounted deer head and asked me to incorporate that into their mural. I named him Fred. That was a mural that I will never forget and I’m super proud of! A couple weeks ago, I had a “first time” experience of painting a mural on a beehive. I had so much fun! It was a hit and now I’m scheduled to paint 3 more!
You may wonder why I’ve chosen to open an online shop for my art since I do so much custom artwork. Well, offering my art in a printable form allows me the freedom to spend more time volunteering and allows me to take my work with me or work from home. That allows me to travel. More importantly, now I can share my art with a wider audience at an affordable price.
Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself to you!
I hope you enjoy exploring my artwork. You’re welcome to follow me on FB or Instagram and by all means, please share my profile with others!
